Toronto's rising star Pvrx (Pie - Rex) born in 1994, is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He rose to fame for his tales of growing up in government housing projects. Pvrx signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2017 and released his debut EP "3.14" on July 26, 2019.

Hailing from Toronto's Rexdale neighborhood, Pvrx draws inspiration from his challenging environment. Raised by a single Jamaican mother alongside two siblings, he developed a musical taste influenced by dancehall and artists like The Lox, Jay-Z, Eminem, and 50 Cent. His music serves as a therapeutic outlet, reflecting experiences with gang violence and poverty.

Pvrx started his musical journey at 17 under the name Onsight RX, using it as a form of expression. He collaborated with artists such as Moula 1st and dropped the mixtape "2 Hot 2 Handle" in 2012.

In 2017, Def Jam CEO Paul Rosenberg noticed Pvrx's talent, leading to his signing. He made his Def Jam debut on the album "Undisputed," releasing hits like "Mixed by 40" and "Know Me." Pvrx's EP "3.14" featured guest appearances from Dave East and Yung Pinch.

In 2020-2021, Pvrx released standout tracks including "Gang Code," "Drill," and “Silence Is Golden,” showcasing his unique style as a versatile singer, rapper, and songwriter.
